New Hope from Beethoven, God

So today I went and saw a movie called Copying Beethoven.  It's a very good movie and I suggest that everybody go see it. It's at the Tivoli and probably woln't be there for much longer.

Lately I have been very confused on what to do with my life. Do I really want to be a symphony conductor?, is there something else?, will I fail? are thoughts that have constantly rushed through my mind this past year. In this movie, it has a girl, who in the times of Beethoven were not associated with music. For the most part with conducting they still aren't. Through her and her message, I found renewed hope. I can do this, it's want I want, and it's what God Almighty wants me to do.

It reminded me of this one time in church. I was sitting in the pew, listening to the organ play the service prelude, conducting with my hand, feeling overwhelmed about my future as a conductor. I prayed to God for guidance. Then a voice came inside my head, telling me that I would be alright, that 'it's O.K., you'll be fine. I'll take care of you." Instant feelings of relief. That feeling had all but disappeared, until I saw this movie. It came back. God is with me, God will provide.

Go see this movie, if nothing else go see it for the music.

Thank God for Beethoven. Thank you for music.

Forever yours,

Charlotte

Count your blessings...

So this thanksgiving holiday thing got me to thinking, what am I truly thankfull for? So I made a list of all the things and people I know and love. Here goes...

1. God. Without him I would be nothing.

2. Family. Without them I wouldnt be the person I am now.

3. Music. Universal language, speaks when words do not suffice. Amaizing. Life would suck without music.

4. Dancing. So much fun, social, goes hand in hand with music. Fun, relaxation, saturday nights. WOOT!

5. Friends. I have so many wonderfull people that have come into my life. You have blessed me beyond reason and hopefully you will continue to do so. Where would I be without my friends? In my room, all alone, sad, unhappy, and most of all borde. You put the fun in life. Literaly.

6. Country. Although this country may have a corrupt goverment, it still is so incredable. How many other countries in the world let you say what you want, when you want to? Or let you worship without fear of being killed for your beliefs? Some things may not be fun, like taxes, but I thank God that I am able to pay them and not have to live some place where the ammount of taxes we pay in any given day would be considerd a great ammount of money. God bless America? God has blessed America.

7. Animals. Max and Mable, my two darlingest pets in the whole wide world. I love my kitty and puppy!

8. Outdoors. Being outside is so much fun. Being in my corner of the yard is so relaxing. It is my pride and joy.

9. School. Yes, homework does suck. But at least I actually do get to go to school. Some people don't get to. Getting an opportunity to learn is actually really cool.

10. Life. Without it, we would all be dead. Literaly. What is the meaning of life? TO LIVE IT!!!

I just want you to know that I love you all dearly, and hope you can find at least ten things to be thankfull for. Hopefully this thankfullness will extend beyond the holiday of Thanksgiving and into regular life. May God bless you all.

Forever yours,

Charlotte Parrish
